Baroque

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baroque

European music of the 17th and early 18th century. This period brings famous composers like Bach, Weiss, Handel. Mozart probably shows a transition out of this period. The greatest highlight for a classical guitarist about this period is Bach's lute works (suites), violin sonatas and cello suites which are all arranged for guitar. Unforturnately I can't show any of them, but work is in progress!

From the technical side, I like Baroque music because often treble voice and bass voice are independent melodies, it's good training for finger independence. It is also a good practice for restrained tempo. I often have to use metronome just to understand the music.
